Where are you from?
"I was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas and am originally from Egypt!"
Where did you attend undergrad, and what was your major?
"I graduated from the University of Houston class of ‘21 with a major in nutritional sciences."
What is your favorite part of dental school so far & why?
"My favorite part of dental school is the people! I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and enjoyable class, and I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone more."
How do you relax after a stressful week of exams?
"Being outside in the sun is the greatest stress relief, and when I can, I love going to the beach and enjoying water sports to recharge before the next exam."
What are your favorite hobbies, sports, and activities to do in your free time?
"If there is a sport I’m there! I love playing soccer, volleyball, tennis, pickle ball and am open to trying any activity. I also love going to concerts and find myself making spontaneous decisions to make it to as many as possible. Staying on the move and trying new things is a must!"
Do you have any pets?
"I have two English bulldogs with the gnarliest underbites. Angus and Cleopatra are my ride or dies and are accompanying me through most of my journeys."
What's your favorite restaurant in Houston?
"Darband shishkabob has the greatest Persian kubideh ever. Order the #6 you won’t regret it!"
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself about dental school?
"Everything looks harder from the outside until you experience it yourself. Stressing before something happens will run your life and waste your time. Live in the moment."
